What to do if your AC is not working?

  1. If you hear any loud noise coming from your AC, immediately turn your thermostat to the “Off” setting & Auto on the Fan mode.
  2. If you had a recent power outage, safely check the electrical breakers are not “thrown”. Breakers should be in the “on” position.
  3. Try resetting breakers (typically labeled “AC”, “Furnace”, or “Air Handler”). To reset a breaker, flip from the “On” position to the “Off” position, pause for a few seconds then flip back to the “On” position.
  4. Commonly a “clogged” or “dirty” air filter will effect your AC ability to properly cool so replace filters if dirty.
